Open the savings book early and keep the money there. A large deposit just before applying, or money borrowed for the occasion, is the most common reason for refusal. Confirm the current figure with the embassy and the school.
Students with a residence permit may work without an hour cap, but studies must remain the main activity, and your permit is renewed only if you are making progress. Most jobs expect some Swedish.
Please do not plan on part-time income to pay tuition or repay a loan. It usually covers part of the monthly living cost at best, and only after the first few months.
Sweden is safe and orderly. The main challenges are finding housing in Stockholm, Lund and Uppsala, and the long dark winter.
After graduation: Graduates can apply for a residence permit of up to 12 months to look for work or start a business.
