Sakura Academy began with a simple belief

Learning a language should help people move forward in real life. It should help a student speak with more confidence. It should help a parent see their child grow. It should help a young person prepare for exams, study abroad, work, and a better future.

Before Sakura Academy became a language education center, it began with the journey of our founder, Vu Thi Phuong Thuy.

Thuy did not start with a big office, a large team, or a perfect plan. She started as a learner and a teacher.

Before going to Japan, she studied English, earned her IELTS result, and worked part-time as a teacher in Vietnam. She understood what it felt like to study seriously, to prepare for the future, and to help other students who were trying to do the same.

Later, while studying abroad in Japan, she continued to learn Japanese, attend university, work part-time, prepare for job hunting, and support students with English and IELTS. It was not always easy, but that experience shaped the way she saw education.

She saw that many students were not lazy. They were lost.

Some did not know where to begin. Some studied hard but chose the wrong method. Some lacked confidence because they could not see their progress. Some families wanted to help their children but did not know which path was suitable.

From that small beginning, Sakura IELTS was born.

At first, it was not a large institution. It was a focused learning space built from real teaching experience, personal discipline, and the belief that students need clear guidance, patient teachers, and a path they can actually follow.

Over time, the vision became bigger.

In 2024, Sakura IELTS grew into Sakura Academy, a broader language academy for students who want to learn English, IELTS, Japanese, Chinese, Korean and other practical learning programs with structure, care, and purpose.

Our story is humble, but that is exactly why it matters.

We know what it means to start small. We know what it means to learn step by step. We know that progress does not come from pressure alone. It comes from the right starting point, the right support, and the courage to keep going.

At Sakura Academy, we do not make big promises before understanding the learner.

We begin by listening. We look at the student’s level, goal, strengths, weaknesses, and learning situation. Then we guide them toward a suitable class, a realistic target, and a clear next step.

For students, this means learning with less confusion.

For parents, this means knowing that their child is not just attending class, but being followed and guided.

For teachers, this means working inside a system that values structure, feedback, and care.

For partners and investors, this means Sakura Academy is not only built around courses. It is built around a repeatable learning model, a real student need, and a founder story that gives the academy its direction.
